Now that you’ve purchased your new double duvet cover, here are some tips on how to insert your down comforter. While these suggestions are meant for twin and full or double sized duvet covers, they’ll still work well for larger sized beds however, when it comes to king beds, it’s probably best to have help. The king sized comforter combined with the king sized duvet cover can become quite heavy.
Duvet Cover Instructions:
Start by laying the comforter on the bed and making sure it lays flat.
Turn the double duvet cover inside out.
Lay the duvet cover over the comforter with the button or enclosure side at the bottom of the bed – be sure it’s flat and not folded over.
Reach hands into the opening of the duvet and crawl up to the top edge.
Take hold of the corners of the comforter and pull through as you slowly back down the bed.
You’ll have to alternately pull the middle the middle through as you go along while still pay attention not to let the corners slip.
You’ll hold tightly to the corners and guide the duvet cover over the comforter as you move downward.
The double duvet cover will become right side out as you move along.
Now the buttons of the duvet cover will be at the top of the bed, and the comforter will be inside of the cover.
Walk around the bed and be sure that all corners and sides are meeting up together.
Button the double duvet cover.
Grab the middle of the buttoned end and pull towards the bottom of the bed as you shake the duvet and the comforter at once.
Now your buttons are at the bottom of the bed.
Walk around and smooth out any bulkiness.
Now you can continue adding pillows and other bedding accessories to beautify your fabulous bedroom sanctuary!
